Effective from 1st January 2025

Welcome to The Money Advice Centre. These Terms of Business outline the basis on which we will provide services to you. Please read them carefully. By engaging with our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Our Services

We provide tailored financial advice and credit broking services, including but not limited to:

• Secured loans and homeowner loans

• Debt consolidation advice

• Personal loans

• Mortgage referrals

• Referral to third-party debt solution providers

We act as a credit broker, not a lender. We will introduce you to a lender or partner firm based on your financial circumstances and preferences.

3. Fees and Charges

We do not charge upfront fees for our services. In some cases, we may receive a commission or fee from the lender or provider we refer you to. This will not affect the amount you pay.

Any fees related to loans, advice, or solutions provided by third parties will be disclosed to you clearly and transparently before proceeding.

4. Client Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate, honest, and complete information about your financial circumstances.

• Inform us of any changes to your situation that may affect our advice or services.

• Review any documents or agreements provided and seek clarification where needed.

Failure to disclose accurate information may result in the withdrawal of offers or invalidation of the advice provided.

5. Credit Searches

By using our services, you give your consent for us and/or our lending partners to carry out credit searches as part of the assessment of your financial situation.

There are two types of credit searches that may apply:

• Soft Search: This type of search does not affect your credit score and is often used for eligibility checks.

• Hard Search: This is a full credit check and may leave a footprint visible to other lenders, potentially affecting your credit rating.

We will always inform you before a hard search is carried out. Our aim is to protect your credit profile while still identifying suitable financial solutions for your needs.
